Who provides the service
My Team Manager is a squad and coaching-staff management application for youth football coaches and clubs, available at https://myteammanager.pt and at https://app.myteammanager.pt.
It is provided by:
- Name: João Carlos Neves Leonardo
- Tax number (NIF): 269514686
- Town: Odivelas
- Legal form: Sole trader (empresário em nome individual)
- Email: geral@myteammanager.pt
Throughout this document, "we" means the entity above and "user" or "you" means whoever creates an account and uses the application.
Purpose and acceptance
These Terms govern access to and use of My Team Manager. By creating an account, you declare that you have read and accept them. If you disagree with any part, do not create an account and do not use the service.
My Team Manager is software as a service (SaaS): the service is provided over the internet, on a subscription basis, and no copy of the program is sold or licensed to you for installation.
To create an account you must be at least 18 years old and have the capacity to enter into contracts. The service is intended for clubs, coaches, coordinators and other coaching staff: it is not an application for underage players to use.
Account, registration and coaching staff
Registering creates an account, which can be one of two types:
- Coach account: the account is yours and does not belong to the club. The same coach can have a team from Club X and another from Club Y within the same account. Whoever registers becomes the Head Coach and is the owner of the account.
- Club account: the account belongs to the club, not to whoever registers it. Whoever registers becomes the Club Manager and runs the account on the club's behalf.
You can sign in in two ways:
- With email (or username) and password;
- With your Google account ("Continue with Google").
In a coach account, you can invite other people to the coaching staff, with one of two roles: Assistant Coach (works on the squad, sessions, matches and the technical work) or Team Manager (runs the age group except for the technical work: game model, tactics board, library, periodisation, fitness tests, session plan and call-up). How many people you can invite depends on the plan.
In a club account, the Club Manager creates the coaching staff of each age group (Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Team Manager), and each person signs in with the username the Club Manager gives them.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret and for everything done from your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, let us know immediately at geral@myteammanager.pt.
An email address belongs to a single account. As a technical decision, each email can only be linked to one workspace. If you are coach A's assistant, coach B cannot invite you with the same email: you will need to use another address.
Plans and prices
The subscription is monthly and there are five plans: three for the coach account and two for the club account. The prices below are those in force on the date of this version of the Terms.
Coach plans
| Plan | Active teams | Price/month |
|---|---|---|
| Coach | 2 active teams | €5.00 |
| Coaching Staff | 5 active teams | €12.00 |
| Unlimited | Unlimited active teams | €20.00 |
Document storage is 500 MB on the Coach plan, 2 GB on Coaching Staff and 10 GB on Unlimited.
Club plans
| Plan | Active teams | Price/month |
|---|---|---|
| Club | Unlimited age groups and teams | €50.00 |
| Full Club | Unlimited age groups and teams | €100.00 |
- Club: everything the coach has, in every age group, plus the club overview, the club calendar, seasons, settings by age group and communication. Includes 10 GB for documents.
- Full Club: everything in the Club plan, plus the treasury (monthly fees and sibling discounts), fines, the club shop (including the online shop), club tournaments with a public page and FPF certification (coaching staff qualifications). Includes 20 GB for documents.
The prices shown are the final amount you pay. VAT exempt under Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA): no VAT is added to these prices, and the invoice-receipts say so.
The limits of the coach plans count only active teams. An archived team can still be viewed and does not take up a place in the plan. There is also no limit on the number of players in the squad on any plan.
Free trial
When you create an account you get a 30-day free trial, with full access, at no cost and without needing a card up front.
At the end of the 30 days, to keep creating new records you must subscribe to a plan. If you do not, your data is not deleted nor does it become inaccessible: you can still view and export everything you entered. See the section "Missed payment" below.
The free trial is granted once per account. Creating successive accounts to repeat it is not allowed.
Payment, invoicing and renewal
How to pay
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts only as a payment service provider: we are the ones who sell the service and issue the invoice.
- Coach plans: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or SEPA Direct Debit.
- Club plans: Multibanco, MB WAY, bank transfer, card or SEPA Direct Debit.
Your card and bank account details are entered directly with Stripe, not with us: we have no access to the full card number and do not store it in our systems.
Invoicing
For each payment, João Carlos Neves Leonardo issues an invoice-receipt in Moloni, invoicing software certified by the Portuguese Tax Authority, and sends it to your email. If you give a tax number (NIF) when paying (yours or the club's), the invoice-receipt carries it; without one, it is issued to a final consumer. The invoice-receipts charge no VAT: João Carlos Neves Leonardo is exempt under Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA).
Automatic renewal
The subscription is monthly or yearly, as you choose (the yearly one costs the same as ten months), and renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same amount, until you cancel it. With a card or SEPA Direct Debit, each renewal is charged automatically; with Multibanco, MB WAY or bank transfer, you pay each renewal when it is due. You can cancel at any time, from the application, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: there is no lock-in period and no penalty for leaving. We do not charge you again after that.
If a payment fails, we try again and let you know by email. If it remains unpaid, the account moves to the "suspended" status; what that means is explained in the next section.
Price changes are notified by email at least 30 days in advance and only apply from the next billing period. If you disagree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
Missed payment: you never lose access to your data
A lapsed subscription never takes away read access to your data. If the account is suspended or cancelled for non-payment, you can still sign in, view and export your squad, your teams and your coaching staff. The only thing blocked is the creation of new records.
This is not a one-off courtesy: it is a rule built into the application. A coach's squad is their own work, often a whole season's worth, and it is not held hostage to a failed payment.
As soon as you settle the payment, creating records becomes available again, with nothing lost.
Right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you subscribe as a consumer (that is, outside a professional activity, which is the case for most youth coaches who pay out of their own pocket) you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, without giving any reason and without any penalty, under Portuguese Decree-Law no. 24/2014 of 14 February.
How to exercise it
Simply send us an unequivocal statement to that effect at geral@myteammanager.pt, within the deadline. You do not need to use any special wording: an email saying you want to withdraw from the contract is enough. You may also use the model withdrawal form annexed to Decree-Law no. 24/2014.
Refund
We refund all payments received within 14 days of receiving your statement, using the same means of payment you used, unless otherwise agreed.
When the 14 days start
The period starts on the day you subscribe to a paid plan (not when the account is created). The 30-day free trial, with no card, comes before any charge: by the time you decide to pay, you have already tried the full service. That is why we do not invoke the exception in article 17 of Decree-Law no. 24/2014 for digital services performed immediately: if you change your mind within 14 days of the first charge, we refund what you paid.
The right of withdrawal is a consumer right. If you subscribe in the course of a professional or business activity, this right does not apply.
Cancellation and what happens to your data
Cancelling
You can cancel the subscription at any time, from the application or by sending us an email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid; until then the service stays as it is.
After cancelling
The account moves to the "cancelled" status. As explained above, you keep read access to your data and can no longer create new records. We recommend that you export whatever you want to keep.
The account data is kept for 90 days after cancellation, during which you can reactivate the subscription and pick up where you left off, or export the data to a file from the application itself. After that period, the account data is permanently deleted.
You can also request the immediate deletion of the account and all associated data by writing to geral@myteammanager.pt. Deleting the account deletes, in cascade, the teams, the squad, the coaching staff and the audit log of that account. It is irreversible.
The exception is tax documents, which Portuguese tax law requires us to keep for 10 years. See the Privacy Policy.
Cancellation by us
We may suspend or close an account in the event of a serious breach of these Terms: in particular unlawful use, attempts to access other accounts' data, or lack of a legal basis to process player data. Whenever possible, we warn you first and give you the opportunity to put things right.
Your obligations
By using My Team Manager, you undertake to:
- Provide truthful information when registering and keep it up to date;
- Not share your credentials or let third parties use your account;
- Enter only data you have the right to process: in particular data about underage players, which requires a legal basis and, where applicable, the consent of the parent or guardian;
- Not use the service for unlawful purposes, nor to process categories of data the application was not built to receive (for example, detailed clinical information in the notes fields);
- Not attempt to access other users' accounts or data, circumvent plan limits, or probe, test or overload the infrastructure;
- Not copy, decompile, resell or offer the service to third parties as if it were yours;
- Not upload files with malicious content or photographs whose use is not authorised.
Sensitive actions carried out in your account are recorded in an audit log, with date, author and IP address.
Player data and data about minors
The application was built for youth football. In practice this means it will hold personal data about children and teenagers: name, date of birth, photograph, identity card number and the contact details of the parent or guardian.
Whoever enters the data is the data controller. We are the processor: we process that data on your behalf and according to your instructions. It is up to you (coach, coordinator or club) to ensure there is a legal basis to process each player's data and, where applicable, to obtain the consent of the parent or guardian, including for the photograph.
This allocation of roles, and the guarantees we give as processor, are explained in the Privacy Policy and formalised in the Data Processing Agreement required by article 28 of the GDPR. Subscribing to the service implies acceptance of that Agreement.
If a parent or guardian asks you to correct or delete a player's data, the request is addressed to you. We give you the tools to comply and, if you need it, we help.
Intellectual property
The software, the My Team Manager name, the logo, the interface, and the texts and images of the website are ours or used under licence. The subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use, limited to the duration of the subscription. It does not transfer any ownership.
The data you enter is yours. The squad, the teams, the photographs and the notes remain yours. We only process them to provide you with the service. We do not sell them, we do not pass them on to third parties for commercial purposes and we do not use them for advertising.
Service availability
We do everything within our reach to keep the service available and fast, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. There may be downtime due to maintenance, updates, faults, failures of infrastructure providers or force majeure.
Whenever possible, scheduled maintenance is carried out at times of low usage and announced in advance.
The service evolves: we may add, change or discontinue features. If a change removes a feature that is essential to the plan you subscribed to, we will let you know and you can cancel without penalty.
In this version of the Terms, we do not offer a service level agreement (SLA) with a guaranteed availability percentage or associated compensation.
Limitation of liability
We are liable for damage we cause through wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and for everything the law does not allow to be excluded: namely damage to life, physical integrity or health, and liability arising from consumer protection law.
Outside those cases, and to the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of opportunity or indirect damage;
- We are not liable for your failure to meet your obligations as controller of the players' data;
- Our total liability, for all events occurring in a twelve-month period, is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
If any of these limitations is held invalid under the Portuguese rules on standard contract terms (Decree-Law no. 446/85), whatever the law allows applies in its place, and the others remain in force.
We recommend that you keep your own copies of any information you consider critical. Our backups exist to restore the service; they do not replace your own records.
Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms, for example because of changes in the law, in the service or in our providers. The version in force is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
Relevant changes (those affecting prices, rights or obligations) are notified by email at least 30 days in advance. If you disagree, you can cancel before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date counts as acceptance.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the country where you habitually reside.
First, talk to us
Most problems are solved with an email. Write to geral@myteammanager.pt and we will reply.
Complaints Book
The electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações, Portugal) is available at livroreclamacoes.pt .
Alternative resolution of consumer disputes
Under Portuguese Law no. 144/2015, in the event of a consumer dispute you may turn to an alternative dispute resolution entity. We are not bound by membership to any particular entity; the competent entity, on a residual basis and for the whole national territory, is CNIACC: Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (Portuguese national consumer arbitration centre), www.cniacc.pt . The full list of entities is available on the Portuguese Consumer Portal, at consumidor.gov.pt .
The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform ceased operating on 20 July 2025, with the repeal of Regulation (EU) no. 524/2013 by Regulation (EU) 2024/3228, and that is why we do not refer to it.
Courts
If an agreement cannot be reached, the courts of the consumer's place of domicile have jurisdiction, under Portuguese law. For contracts that are not consumer contracts, the courts of the Lisboa Norte judicial district (Portugal) have jurisdiction.
