Who Is Behind This
My Team Manager is made by João Leonardo, in Portugal. It is not the product of a sports-software group with thirty modules and a salesperson on the phone: it is one application, built around the work of someone who coaches a youth age group.
Why This Exists
Every week, a youth coach does work that has nothing to do with coaching: digging a parent's phone number out of a WhatsApp group's history, counting in their head how many minutes each child played across a tournament morning, writing the call-up on a piece of paper that goes in the kit bag. None of it is hard. It is repetitive, scattered, and all of it is lost at the end of the season.
My Team Manager was born for that part. The squad on one record, the register taken with a thumb, the call-up by email, the match recorded from the bench, the minutes added up on their own. And, at the end of the season, nothing to start again from scratch.
How It Is Built
Servers in Portugal, data inside the European Union. The separation between accounts does not depend on the code remembering to do it: it is enforced by the database itself, on every query. Backups are daily and leave the server already encrypted, so whoever hosts them never sees children's data in the clear.
Every release goes through more than two hundred automated tests before it ships, including tests that bring up the real application against a database built from scratch and talk to it the way a browser would. It is not a guarantee against mistakes; it is the difference between them being found here or by you, on a Saturday morning.
What This Product Does Not Do
What a product refuses says more than its feature list.

We Do Not Sell Data
A youth squad's data is children's data. It is not an asset, it is not sold, and it feeds no advertising. The account is paid for with the price on the pricing page. That is the only revenue.

There Are No Adverts
Not inside the app, and not in the middle of taking the register at the side of the pitch.

We Do Not Lock Anyone In
There are no contracts and no minimum terms, you cancel inside the app with no phone calls, and your data leaves with you in a file whenever you want. A product that needs to trap its customers has already lost the argument.

We Do Not Take Away What Is Yours
If the trial ends, or a payment fails, you stop creating new records, but you keep reading everything that is already there. Being left without your team's contacts halfway through the season because a card expired is no way to charge for anything.
